I'm Jennifer Moeller, Principal and Communications Consultant at Avila Communications. For over two decades, I've built my career at the intersection of community, government, and organizational communication — helping institutions connect authentically with the people they serve.
My path here wasn't linear, and that's by design. I got my start in broadcast media at KABC Channel 7 and Disney Channel, learning how to tell stories that hold an audience's attention. From there, I moved into marketing, consulting and employee relations, where I discovered how much internal communication shapes an organization's culture from the inside out. Eventually, that led me to community and government relations — the work I find most meaningful: helping public agencies, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations build real trust with the communities they serve.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I bring that fluency into everything I do — not as an add-on, but as a core part of how I help organizations reach the full breadth of their community.
Outside of client work, I stay closely involved in civic life across the Conejo Valley — from advocacy work on health equity to organizing local cultural events that bring neighbors together.
I hold an MA in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University and a BA in Journalism and Public Relations from Cal State Northridge.
